Thylane Blondeau married Benjamin Attal in a civil ceremony at the mairie of Paris’s 16th arrondissement on Monday, three months after he proposed.
The couple pulled up in a vintage Porsche 356 Speedster to applause from the family and friends waiting outside. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies, her hair pinned into a chignon threaded with flowers; Attal wore a navy double-breasted suit.
Attal, a French DJ and actor, has been widely reported as the son of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Yvan Attal, which would make him a grandson of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg. He and Blondeau have been together since around 2020. He proposed in early March during a getaway at the Four Seasons Astir Palace on the Athenian Riviera, a candlelit table at the end of a trail of rose petals. She announced it on Instagram with the line, “I said yes to my best friend.” The ring, an oval diamond solitaire on a plain gold band, made its public debut at the Zimmermann show during Paris Fashion Week.
Guests included her mother, the TV presenter Véronika Loubry, and the broadcaster Karine Le Marchand. After the 2025 death of Blondeau’s stepfather Gérard Kadoche from pancreatic cancer, Loubry had called the engagement “a little ray of sunshine” finally crossing the clouds.
Blondeau was scouted at 3, walked for Jean Paul Gaultier at 4, and became the youngest model in Vogue Paris at 10. The childhood styling that made her famous also drew years of criticism over the sexualization of young girls, a label she spent her adult career outrunning.
