After years of anticipation, Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the cover art for Grand Theft Auto VI, giving fans their first look at the game’s official box art while also confirming that pre-orders will begin on June 25.
The artwork features the game’s two protagonists, Jason and Lucia, front and center against the vibrant backdrop of Leonida, Rockstar’s fictional state inspired by Florida. The collage-style design also showcases several supporting characters, vehicles, aircraft, and glimpses of the criminal underworld players will explore when the game launches later this year.
The reveal marks another major milestone for what is widely expected to be one of the biggest entertainment launches of all time. Rockstar has remained relatively quiet since releasing the game’s second trailer, making today’s announcement especially significant for fans eager to get their hands on the next installment in the iconic franchise.
According to Rockstar, pre-orders will officially go live on June 25 through digital storefronts and select retailers. While the company has not yet revealed pricing or the different editions that will be available, more information is expected as pre-orders open.
Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The announcement has already sent excitement throughout the gaming community, with many expecting the game to shatter sales records shortly after release.
The unveiling of the official cover art is another reminder that after more than a decade of waiting, the countdown to GTA 6 is finally entering its final stretch.
