Metaphysical Articles Blogger Mark Russell Bell Has Been Interviewed for Richard Syrett’s Strange Planet Podcast

This article provides an example of activities in the life of a noncommercial blogger dedicated to helping people expand their understanding about metaphysical, spiritual and cosmological aspects of life.

I was interviewed on Wednesday, May 21 for an upcoming episode of Richard Syrett’s Strange Planet podcast.

On Monday, March 18 this blogger sent an emailed announcement to my personal list of news media outlets.  A link was shared to my blog index webpage currently entitled “Compare This UFOs / UAP / Space People / UFOlogy Index of Linked Evidentiary Articles With the Data Released at www.war.gov/UFO”.

On the following day, I received an Email from Richard Syrett of Richard Syrett’s Strange Planet podcast.  He informed me: “Hey Mark, thank you for reaching out. My EP Jackie will connect with you today.”  My reaction was that this man has an excellent grasp of what constitutes important and relevant news in relation to UFOlogy.

The Email from Jackie presented some questions and I would like to share my responses with Metaphysical Articles blog readers.  She wrote:

Thank you for reaching out and for sending along the links. I’ve started going through your UFO/UAP index and the material connected to the new war.gov/UFO archive. Very interesting work, particularly the effort to organize and synthesize a large body of information that many people are only now beginning to explore.

There may be the basis for an interesting conversation here for Strange Planet.

To help me better understand the focus and direction of your research, perhaps you could briefly flesh out a few points for me:

• What would you say are the three most important conclusions people should take away from your research?

• What distinguishes your index from other UFO/UAP archives currently online?

• You use the term “Space People,” which has an interesting history within UFOlogy. How are you defining that term in a modern context?

• Are there specific documents, cases, or revelations within the war.gov release that you believe are especially significant and underreported?

I replied:

Hi Jackie,

The three main conclusions are:

(1) just as when one makes sense of the gamut of experiences usually categorized as ‘paranormal’ (such as poltergeist cases), upon discerning what correlates and what does not among authentic and extensively documented space people contact and interaction case chronologies there are metaphysical / spiritual / cosmological teachings that become evident.

(2) In each of the contactee case chronologies of Orfeo Angelucci, Truman Bethurum, Daniel Fry and Arthur Shuttlewood, the men’s reports about what was instructed to them correlates in that all delivered an anti-war message and articulated in individual ways that the ‘God Force’ is intrinsic to the interaction of extraterrestrial people with humanity on Earth — “a Supreme Deity who sees, knows and controls all” (Truman Bethurum) / “the Father, or Source” (Orfeo Angelucci) / “a supreme power and intelligence which pervades and controls all nature” (Daniel Fry) / “the Only One” and “the great Creator, the Living Force who controls every single particle of the universe, human or inanimate” (Arthur Shuttlewood).  Don’t over look ‘channeling’ cases: “We are nine principles of the Universe, yet together we are one. We are separate and one at the same time. . . .” (‘The Council of Nine’ through deep trance medium Phyllis V. Schlemmer; a case investigated by Andrija Puharich)

(3) You have to be fully discerning and conscious to recognize when something phenomenal or highly unusual occurs in proximity to you.  Some examples: synchronicities, ‘the rainbow connection,’ ‘poltergeist’ phenomena.  Someone very wise is quoted in a recent blog article: “You have to be awake to see the . . . miracles when they manifest . . . many of you are lost in social consciousness . . . if you are looking for knowledge, you must transcend the limited power of social consciousness.”  Example: an object is pushed off a shelf while no other objects alongside it moved.  A witness to poltergeist phenomena would have a different reaction than someone unprepared who might simply construe this as something involving an unbalanced object and ‘gravity.’

Q: What distinguishes your index from other UFO/UAP archives currently online?

My answer: I haven’t found any others that is as inclusive as mine in relation to such field as transcendental communication.  None of these articles are commercial or influenced by federal regulating or what is governmentally approved for disclosure in any way.

Q: You use the term “Space People,” which has an interesting history within UFOlogy. How are you defining that term in a modern context?

My answer: President Trump didn’t define the term when he mentioned “people coming from space” in 2024.  Contactees have reported space people interaction who appeared like typical human beings and represented themselves with such names as ‘Aura Rhanes,’ ‘Neptune’ and ‘Karne’ while ‘Alan’ was never physically seen by Daniel Fry.

Q: Are there specific documents, cases, or revelations within the war.gov release that you believe are especially significant and underreported?

My answer: As I don’t trust that the data is intended to be truly educational for the public, my surveying of this released evidence hasn’t been intense.  I’ve read many posts at X.com about the data released and nothing seems as essential as Truman Bethurum’s physical letters that he obtained on board a flying saucer. He, himself, had no ability to place in context the two letters (one in Chinese and one in French).

Soon thereafter, my interview was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday.

A few minutes prior to the appointed time, I used the Zoom link that was provided to connect with my webcam.  There were a few problems with the sound and I quickly signed up to create a “free Basic account” with Zoom.  After that, at least Richard and I could hear one another yet there seemed to be an echo so he asked me to use my headphones.  My computer doesn’t recognize the headphones so there was another delay as I rebooted my computer.  Then the interview began as Richard offered an encapsulation of the “short bio of myself’.”  I’d provided an updated version of the one that had been available at my X.com account until recently because the option has disappeared from the Edit profile screen on web and apps.  I asked Grok 4 about this and learned: “It appears to have been a silent discontinuation, similar to other profile tweaks over time . . . Sorry for the inconvenience—this seems to be another one of those unannounced X platform adjustments.”

The following is the short bio that I provided.

Bell’s noncommercial blog Metaphysical Articles: Interesting Articles, Links and Other Media presents 800+ articles for readers to expand their metaphysical, paranormal, spiritual and cosmological knowledge about life. Blogger Mark Russell Bell is the author of Testament (1997). The nonfiction book is presented as a case study with a documentary style using question and answer interview transcripts, journals and photographs (including one entitled ‘The Aliens’). Prior to retirement, Bell’s professional occupations have included talent agent, movie publicity writer for Paramount Pictures, and school office technician including special education duties.

After experiencing some strange events as a child, Bell has had a life-long interest in learning about occurrences sometimes categorized as ‘paranormal phenomena.’ After majoring in cinema at USC, he worked as a talent agent before becoming staff writer in the publicity department of Paramount Pictures and contributing to the campaigns for such films as “Braveheart,” “Fatal Attraction,” “Fire in the Sky,” “Forrest Gump,” “Ghost,” “The Godfather, Part III,” “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” and the “Star Trek” series. He had begun writing movie press kits on a freelance basis as a favor to his twin brother who at the time was a publicity department executive at the Hollywood studio. (article)

In 1995 after researching documented ‘talking poltergeist’ cases, Bell learned about a contemporary Oklahoma family experiencing the phenomena. His unexpurgated interview with the family is featured in Testament. The family was seen on television in the November 1995 ABC special “Ghosts, Mediums, Psychics: Put To The Test” and this footage also aired in the summer of 1996 on “20/20.” Among the authentic phenomena filmed for the special was a dining room chair moved by an unseen presence. Bell’s New Consciousness Research Organization is the Internet publisher of the online edition of Testament.

In 2009 he began blogging at https://www.metaphysicalarticles.org. Also available is an online Page of Online Autobiography Chapter Links. Bell resides in Los Angeles. Some example blog articles are “UFOs / UAP / Space People ‘Disclosure’ Evidence Is Already Available — The Data Is Identified In This Blog Article”, “Key Data for ‘Genius’ Thinkers Regarding Science, Life and Cosmology” and “75+ Authentic Photographs Offering Evidence / ‘Proof’ of ‘Paranormal Phenomena'”.

The interview lasted around 40 minutes
.

During the interview, I held up to the camera the original 1993 photograph of “The Aliens” that I obtained while investigating the Centrahoma ‘talking poltergeist’ case chronology, as documented in Testament.  The photo is shown below, along with the photo detail that I mentioned was shown during the two ABC-TV telecasts (“Ghosts, Mediums, Psychics: Put To The Test” and “20/20.”)

The apparent interdimensional aspect of paranormal phenomena seems corroborated by what is seen in the photo; as with the seance materializations photos previously featured in articles at this blog that are once again being shared below.

Just as with my The Outer Realm Radio podcast interview with Michelle Desrochers and Amelia Pisano, I found myself making a silly mistake at one point.  I mistakenly said Japanese instead of Chinese regarding the phenomena letters that Truman Bethurum received aboard a flying saucer.  (article)  During the previous podcast interview, I’d mentioned my brother lived near Las Vegas when I should have identified Palm Springs.  Here’s what Google AI has to say about older people’s memory condition:
