Victoria Gibson broke down in tears in a Costco restroom after accidentally soiling herself while 39 weeks pregnant, and she filmed the aftermath for TikTok.
She gave birth to a baby boy the day after the incident, her fourth child with NFL running back Antonio Gibson. In a video posted June 16 that’s been viewed more than 6 million times, she cried through the story: “I’m crying. People poop themselves all the time, right? It was so bad. It was really, really bad.”
A follow-up video, now past 10 million views, captured her calling out to another woman in the bathroom for help. Her mom, on the phone, had suggested it. The shopper didn’t step in herself but flagged down a store manager, who brought Victoria a fresh pair of pants.
“Why am I crying? I’m laughing and I’m crying because it’s literally hilarious,” she said in the clip. “But also, that was probably the most shame I’ve ever felt.”
She told Today in an interview posted July 24 that oversharing is the point. “I post a lot of things that people typically don’t post. When you’re pregnant, your body’s going through these changes that you’re scared to talk about, so I’ve shared everything about my pregnancy.”
The comments backed her up, including one that read, “Hi Costco employee here. This happens so often!”
For now, she’s keeping her distance from the warehouse. “My daughter just asked to go to Costco,” she said in another TikTok. “And I said, ‘Baby, I can’t show my face at Costco.’”
