After delivering a breakout performance in the psychological thriller Obsession, actress Inde Navarrette has her sights set on an even bigger stage: the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In a recent interview with Nylon, Navarrette opened up about her career following the success of Obsession, revealing that she’s already had the opportunity to meet with Jake Schreier, the filmmaker behind Thunderbolts and the upcoming X-Men reboot.
When asked if she’d be interested in joining Marvel, Navarrette didn’t hesitate.
“I would.”
It’s a simple answer, but one that’s sure to catch the attention of Marvel fans. With Schreier now helping shape the future of the MCU’s mutants, the meeting has already sparked speculation about whether Navarrette could eventually find a place in the franchise.
The actress also shared her growing list of dream collaborators, naming acclaimed filmmakers Ryan Coogler, Greta Gerwig, Michael Mann, and Schreier among the directors she’d love to work with in the future.
Following Obsession, Navarrette says she’s already noticed a major shift in the kinds of opportunities coming her way. She explained that before landing the film, she spent time walking dogs and streaming to make ends meet while trying to break through in Hollywood. Now, she approaches auditions with a renewed sense of confidence.
“I’m now making decisions with a lot more confidence,” she said, adding that the audition process has become far more enjoyable than it once was.

Despite the newfound momentum, Navarrette isn’t looking to chase sequels. Instead, she’s focused on proving that her breakout role wasn’t a one-time success. She expressed a desire to continue exploring suspense, thriller, and horror projects while working with first-time directors and challenging herself with new roles.
