As profiled in some previous articles at this blog (incl. 1, 2, 3), the contemporary Jack Pursel / ‘Lazaris’ trance channeling case chronology is one of those that has been extensively documented with videos and books of session transcripts. A website is available at www.lazaris.com. This entity has described themselves as being “aware of our existence on multiple levels of awareness” without ever having lived a personal physical lifetime on the earthly plane of existence. Lazaris has used the expression about themselves being “energy that creates thought” and has offered the perspective of ‘God’ as “a whole that’s much greater than the sum of its parts” with the combined terms “God / Goddess / All That Is.” Jach was born in 1947 and has been channeling Lazaris since 1974.

Jach Pursel is documented to usually have his eyes closed while channeling, as do many other ‘deep trance channelers’ while channelers whose eyes remain open have been explained to have been taken ‘out of the body.’ (This predicament is a topic for commentary in the article “Raymond’s Other Guides”.)

In Lazaris Interviews Book I (1988), Lazaris commented about the necessity of discriminating between “good” channelers and “not-so-good” ones. The latter group includes individuals who’ve ‘hopped on the bandwagon’ erroneously and fraudulently, motivated by moneymaking or wanting to go on a ‘power trip.’ In contrast with the unwise group of channelers are “those who are allowing very high energies, very powerful energies to travel through and to put the information forth.”

Lazaris is quoted to have explained further about this predicament:

This also is a part of the pattern, for, you see, it is important that you as individuals learn discernment.

. . . the opportunity of discernment, the opportunity of choice, the opportunity of finding the answers is part of what this New Age is.

Entities on other levels have to be taken as you take people. You first have to learn, and you need to discern, and you need to decide whether it works for you. (article)

Jach did not attempt to develop a relationship with us. We came to him, so to speak. He did not plan on us, though we planned on him. We love him grandly and help him immensely, but we are not his Higher Self.

We know there are those who claim to be able to teach you to channel. Some can. However, there is channeling and there is channeling. You must differentiate.

There is subjective channeling. Each of you can learn to channel FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT — FOR YOUR OWN GROWTH. Each person who is creative is actually or potentially channeling at least their innate or developed creativity!

. . . Then there is objective channeling which is like the work that we and some others do. You cannot take a class or even a “home study” course to develop this form of channeling. Edgar Cayce and Jane Roberts, who were both objective channels like Jach, did not seek to do this work. On a very deep level they gave permission, of course. They did not consciously learn how to channel. They were chosen — it just happened to them.

Reading the two initial Lazaris Interviews books, something that seemed evident to myself at times is that not all of this channeled entity’s observations may be intended to be interpreted in a literal way and some comments seem satirical in reaction to the metaphysical concepts and perspectives popular during the 1980s. The Lazaris channeling session transcripts included in this article are from two books: Lazaris Interviews Book I and Book II (1988). Acknowledgements specify: “Following each question is a line that identifies the publication and the interviewer who asked the question — or the workshop at which the question was asked. In the case where there are several consecutive questions from the same interview, the identifying line follows the answer to the last question in the series.”

Q: What are the similarities between religion and metaphysics?

Lazaris: First of all, they’re both seeking a sense of spirituality. We suggest that whether that religion is Fundamentalist, traditional or even avante garde in its approaches, it has in common a seeking, a seeking of God —or as we call it God / Goddess / All That Is . . . Secondly, both attempt to deal with the issue of responsibility. Some Fundamentalist approaches try to shift the majority of that responsibility off onto God. But most Fundamentalist, traditional and even avante garde religions, as they exist today, at least try to take some level of responsibility for the reality they create. They suggest that one’s happiness and one’s light are somehow connected to one’s involvement in spirituality. Thus, you are responsible for your happiness. The more spiritual you are, the happier you will be . . . There is a semblance of understanding that the more one is invested in one’s spirituality, the more one is involved in one’s search for God / Goddess / All That Is, the more positive, the more successful life will be. Those similarities also exist.

Thirdly, there is a moral code that both rather suggest. There is a level of integrity, a level of impeccability that both put forth . . . Fourthly, both believe in Love and the power of that Love. They both believe in the power of positive energy and in the power of God or God / Goddess / All That Is (in the case of metaphysics).

And so we sense that although there are differences, certainly so, there are some areas in which the two are very much the same.

We know in your world you refer to “God” so much. That term has such an overlay, so many pictures from childhood that are laid on top of it. You have the image of an old man with a white beard sitting upon some sort of cloud, destroying cities when he feels like it, and doing all those dastardly things that the Old Testament rather attributes to his name. You also have all the imagery of the Crusades and everything else that is attributed to the name of Jesus in the New Testament. Your image of God is also created by all these pictures of pews too hard to sit in, and pencils too dull to draw with that are part of your childhood imagery of what God is.

So many people who are involved in the mystical / metaphysical movements of this day have moved away from that, and have wanted to move away from the conditions, the limitations, and the guilts that were imposed upon them by their childhood religions — not by God, not by Jesus, not by their sense of deity, but by the organization, by their parents, or by the system, or by the ministers, priests or rabbis.

Many want to move away from those pictures of God. Therefore, as they move into the alternatives, many have shut God out. They shut that door completely. We want to open that door again — not the same door that you saw before, but a truer door. We want to open the door not to the God of the Bible that you think of, but to the truer, more complete God that has not been — how do you say? — edited, that has not been rewritten, that has not been translated or voted upon in those councils that were put together in the early time of your history.

Rather, we are speaking of a fuller sense of God, which is a male energy of God, but more than a male energy, it is also a feminine energy, and therefore Goddess. And more than a feminine energy, it is the synergy of God and Goddess to produce All That Is, which is more than male and more than female. There is a whole that’s much greater than the sum of its parts. Rather than calling it God, or Goddess, or All That Is, we combine the three terms, God / Goddess / All That Is.

We realize that indeed that may be a little more difficult for some people to say, but anybody who has studied Eastern thought and studied with Swami Such-and-Such-and-Such-and-Such certainly is used to saying many-syllabled names. To honor the deity, or that sense of the source, by referring to it as God / Goddess / All That Is, one term, we do not feel is too much to ask. Therefore, we refer to it most clearly and most frequently in the synergistic sense of God / Goddess / All That Is, rather than in its pieces and its parts.

Q: What is your definition of the Goddess energy?

Lazaris: There is no one, all-inclusive definition. The beauty of the allure, as well as the illusiveness, of the Goddess energy is that each person must define it / Her for themselves.

What is God? What is the God energy? Everyone has an answer to that question. Even if the answer is filled with a lot of “hems” and “haws,” everyone has at least some sort of answer to the question “What is God?” The definition of God ultimately — regardless of where it begins — will include such words as light, love, isness, allness, and ultimately, All That Is.

People seem satisfied with these definitions, and they should be, because it is impossible to adequately describe the omni-dimensional concept of God in a two-dimensional language such as yours. You do the best you can, and we would suggest you have done admirably well because indeed it is true that God is light, God is love. Reality is God in action. God is All That Is.

Well, what is Goddess? What is the Goddess energy? This definition is more difficult for people. That difficulty is not an indication of ignorance, but rather an indictment of a society that is still riddled with male chauvinism. The Goddess is defined with such words as light, love, isness, allness, and All That Is. For, you see, the Goddess is also light. The Goddess is love. Reality is similarly Goddess in action. Goddess, like God, is All That Is. It would not be appropriate, though, to see the Goddess as a part of God, as some indeed would like to.

However, it is appropriate to see God and Goddess as the expressive and creative energies of a force that is greater than each. To see them as the expressive and creative energies of All That Is, is what is appropriate. You see, your paternal religions throughout the world have presented an image of the deity as being all male in the form of God, in the form of a Son, and perhaps somewhat amorophously in the form of a Holy Ghost (which would be most comparable to All That Is). You have been satisfied with this limited concept of deity, especially when you were content to give your power away to guru, master, minister, or priest.

As you have begun to take back your power, as you have begun to search and seek meaning, as you have begun perception into your own personal reality, as you have begun your own personal spiritual journey home, you have glimpsed something you hitherto did not know existed.

In your search for God, you have glimpsed the Goddess — just a tiny glimmer indeed, but a glimpse at least. That glimpse has opened a door for the emergence of the Goddess energy. More correctly, that glimpse has opened the door for the re-emergence of a powerful, incredibly beautiful energy, for the re-emergence of the Goddess.

As this energy re-emerges, you are discovering your own definition of Goddess, as well as rediscovering a more complete and a more useful definition of God. Though there is no single definition of the Goddess energy that would be acceptable to all, there are some key principles that come close to defining that energy.

The Goddess energy is the idealized feminine energy — not the idealized woman, not the idealized female — but the idealized feminine energy. Feminine energy is truly available to all that are female, all that are women, and — this is the important part — it is also fully available to all who are male, and all who are men.

Well, what are these key principles that come the closest to defining the Goddess? They are, simply put: Imagining, Feeling, Conceiving and Perceiving.

Imagining is your ability, with eyes opened or closed, to travel thousands of miles in your mind and to experience a reality as though you were there. Imagining is your very special and unique ability to dream and to vision. Imagining is a most wondrous and powerful energy that allows you to conjure things that have never been and to walk among them touching and feeling and responding. Imagining is that special quality you have that allows you to reach into the future and to create things, ideas, feelings, and concepts, and to bring them back into your current illusion and to make them real. All of these things that are part of what is imagining are a part of that feminine principle, are a part of that feminine energy that is, indeed, available to each and every one of you.

The ability to feel . . . Even when you don’t know what love is, you are capable of feeling love. Even when you’ve never experienced sadness, you are capable of reaching deep within yourself and discovering that feeling, that sense, that energy.

That ability to look at a picture on the newsreel, or to watch a movie on television, that ability to read the newspaper or a fictionalized version of someone’s story and to be able to cry and to be able to laugh, to be able to love, to be able to hate — that function within you, that ability to feel is that feminine energy. And though many of you will deny your feelings, though many of you will run from them, though many of you will try to pretend that you don’t have any feelings, indeed you do. It’s a wondrous, powerful and beautiful part of you that is that Goddess within.

Conceiving is one of the most misunderstood concepts related to the Goddess energy. In your world of workshops and seminars, so often people think they are coming forth with new ideas, new concepts. So often they think they are conceiving something brand new, whereas, in fact, all they’re doing is taking someone else’s ideas, someone else’s experiences, changing them around, using a different vernacular, or adding a few of their own personalized experiences to the consensus, and then calling it new.

To go to someone’s workshops and take various copious notes and then turn around and change the title, to read someone’s book on how to do this or that or the other and then to outline it in a different form, may be a workable system — it may even be valuable — but do not box yourself into thinking that you have conceived of something new. At best you have taken someone else’s conception and copied, imitated, or plagiarized it, but you have not conceived of it for yourself.

Though we would not judge such copying and lifting, we would simply add that it is never fulfilling. It never gives you a true sense of your value, a true sense of your worth, a true sense of your esteem. It always ends up eventually leaving you feeling hollow and feeling empty because you aren’t conceiving. You aren’t giving birth to something new. No matter how many times you use the word conceiving, it doesn’t make it so.

The other problem with this word is that people, realizing this problem we’ve just outlined, go to the other extreme and start talking of bizarre things that are so far-fetched, out-of-reach, and out of range that they have never been talked about before in the history of the human consciousness. They therefore believe: “Aha! Because I’ve said something that no one has ever said, because I’ve spoken words that have never even been uttered before, now I’m conceiving of something new!”

Once again, that you are flying far ahead in delusion, in fantasy, or in a decaying dream does not make it conception. To conceive something is to reach into the very essence of your being and to find something that has never been and to give birth to it, to give birth to an idea, to give birth to a concept, to give birth to a level and an understanding of humanity that has never been before — but that does exist, that does function, that does make sense in your world.

When a woman conceives a child, the measure of her successful conception is the ability of that child to survive. When you conceive of an idea, the measure of your successful conception is, similarly, the ability of that idea to survive in your world. To come up with cockamamie ideas that are so far-fetched that they make no sense whatever is not conception: It is delusion; it is fantasy; it is perhaps the decaying dream.

The key to conception is that it is brand new and that it works. To be able to conceive is part of the feminine energy that has been lost and that now, in your late ’80s and into the ’90s and into the turn of the century, is once again beginning to emerge.

The fourth quality of the feminine principle and of the Goddess energy is that of perception. The word and this concept are also very misunderstood. That is a result, perhaps, of the duality in your world where there are those who are emphasizing only the intellect. Some are coming up with some sort of intellectual understanding, some sort of intellectual meaning, is all that is important. Yet others, perhaps confused and confounded, tell you to drop all your intellectualism and to go only with your feelings, only to feel what the world is about.

While one looks down their nose at those without the proper degrees and the proper credentials, the other looks down their nose at those that have them. We would suggest that both are incorrect. It is neither more valuable to think (rather than to feel) than it is to feel (rather than to think). In fact, you can’t do one without doing the other. You must think in order to allow yourself to feel and to follow those feelings that many are encouraging you to do. Similarly, you must feel in order to think, in order to develop that intellect. In order to use that intellect, it must be companioned with feeling to be of any value.

Perception is something that stands outside understanding or meaning, something that stands beyond the intellectualization or the emotionalization of your world. To perceive is to step back and to take a look at the larger picture. To perceive is to allow the meanings and understanding to come to you rather than chasing after them. To perceive is to understand in the realms where words cannot tread, in the realms that are beyond the images, beyond the words, beyond the feelings, beyond the conceptions. To perceive is to approach that energy which is Goddess, that energy which is God, and that energy that is more than each, which is All That Is.

These are the qualities that best describe what is the Goddess energy. There is no one all-inclusive definition. The beauty and the allure, as well as the illusiveness of the Goddess is that each person must both define and then discover Her for themselves.

Q: What would be some of the ways people could practically use this energy in their daily lives?

Lazaris: We understand the question and indeed realize the importance of asking it. We also understand that over the next many years, through the turn of this century, as this energy that is the Goddess emerges and indeed re-emerges, and emerges and re-emerges over and over again, individually and collectively within your consciousness, that the question will be put many times and in many ways.

Even so, it does feel very strange to be auditioning the Goddess energy. To show you its practical uses before its acceptance is, in a way, trying to convince you that it’s worthwhile, that it’s practical, that it’s worth your time and energy to stop and define and discover this most wondrous energy. How many of you would seriously ask: “What are the practical values of God in your everyday life?” It is somehow accepted that, of course, the presence of God is valuable and is important, if not indeed essential to your daily existence. It is almost as though if one must ask, one hasn’t even begun to become aware of what God is.

Well, the Goddess energy really doesn’t need to audition, either, but to answer the question What are the practical and valuable uses? we would look at some, indeed.

First, we would suggest, on a very pragmatic level, being in touch with this energy can augment your programming. The times that you go into meditation to visualize, to desire, to expect, to imagine the realities that you want — the times that you use your beliefs and your attitudes, along with the thoughts and feelings and indeed with the choices and decisions that you make in order to create your reality — those times can be more powerful and more successful be being aware of and in touch with this energy that is the Goddess.

You see, the more imagination you can muster and the more you are able to image the reality you want, the more you will create that reality. The more imagination you can muster, the more you will have a will that will bring that reality into manifestation. Therefore, it becomes easier to create your own reality via programming when you are in touch with, indeed embraced by, this energy that is the Goddess.

Also, the more imagination you have, the stronger is your Dream — the Dream with a capital “D,” the Dream of the future, and the Dream of the world — and the more capable you are of determining the future and of changing the course of history into the positive destiny that you desire. The more you desire, the greater is your experience, and the more powerful is the reality you create.

Secondly, by being embraced by this energy — by opening your heart and your mind to this lovingness that is the Goddess — you strengthen your motivation. You see, your deepest motivations, your purpose — your focus, as we refer to it — lie at the bottom of the pool of feelings. In order to fully understand, appreciate and utilize your reason for being, you must be willing to feel, and not only feel, but feel deeply. You must be willing to dive into the very depths of your emotions in order to grasp and then to use your purpose, your focus, your motivation, your reason for being.

Thirdly, by being aware of and then allowing the Goddess energy to create with you — by allowing the Goddess to co-create a reality with you — you produce a much healthier reality for yourself. For indeed, on a quite physical level, most are aware that illness is due mainly to denied and stuffed emotion. As you open to your ability to imagine and then to feel, you can cleanse these stuffed or denied emotions. You can free yourself from the disenfranchisement, the disorientation, the disorder and failure that their denial has produced.

Thus, by working with the Goddess energy, you are also adding to your physical health — and, quite clearly, to your emotional health, and thus the intellectual health of your whole beingness is upgraded. The intuitive health and well-being can only be benefited.

Further, one of the most important keys to longevity is giving birth not to children, but to ideas, to new concepts. The ability to conceive, which is the Goddess energy, adds length to your life. All those who live to be over 100 or more, all of them have some sense, some touch with the energy of giving birth to ideas, of giving birth to concepts. Those who live to that age have a sense, a glimpse at least, of the Goddess.

Additionally, the Goddess energy empowers you to manifest the reality that you really want. It empowers you to become a bigger piece of God / Goddess / All That Is. A key to your spirituality in this time of the ’80s and ’90s — the key to that which is called the New Age, and more appropriately should be called the New Spirituality — is your willingness to cross the Bridge of Belief. The key to traditional spirituality, as represented by world religions, is your willingness to take a leap of faith. The New Spirituality is based upon your willingness to cross the Bridge of Belief. It does not require blind faith. It requires a partnership of belief with God, with Goddess, with All That Is. The feminine energy, the energy of the Goddess, provides that Bridge of Belief across which you must pass to fully engage and realize your spirituality. A practical importance? Most definitely!

An additional benefit: You have heard that there is a power that lies within you. Traditional religion, traditional psychology and philosophy all tell you that there is a power within. Alternative religion, alternative spiritualities, and alternative psychologies and philosophies as well finally agree with the traditions and say that there is a power within.

Many are ready to tell you where that power lies, but very few are willing to let you get in touch with it, to tell you how to get hold of that power to do anything with it. From the misfit to the mystic, they are willing to tell you that you should be in touch with that power, but often they are unwilling to tell you how.

Getting in touch with the feminine energy by getting in touch with the Goddess, by getting in touch with that part of you that is a part of God / Goddess / All That Is is the key. Through the harmony and ultimately the balance of that feminine energy, of that Goddess energy, you will unlock the Vortex of Power that lies within.

Q: How can men work with the Goddess energy?

Lazaris: The very asking of the question speaks often to the limitation that people assume the Goddess is meant just for women. They assume that men have had for all these centuries their God, with which they’ve pummeled the world and all societies that did not agree with them. They assume that now it is time for women to have their God who will come forth and perhaps (in the male projection) pummel men. No. The Goddess is not a female. Though she will appear to most of you in the female form, she is feminine. Within each man and woman there is the hidden woman that is their personal aspect of the Goddess.

Carl Jung spoke and suggested that man has a hidden woman, and that women had a hidden man, and we suggest, with all due respect, that Carl Jung was correct only partially — that the fullest truth is that within each man there are a male and a female that lie mostly undiscovered. Within each woman there are similarly a male and a female that lie largely dormant. It is erroneously assumed that because a person has a male gender he understands what it is to be a man, and that because a person has a female gender she understands what it is to be a woman.

That you are a man means that you have chosen to learn particularly of maleness and temper it with femaleness to become whole. That you are a woman means that you came into this incarnation to develop particularly your female energy and to temper it with your maleness to become whole.

Therefore, how can men work with the Goddess energy? In the same way as women can: to open their minds, to open their hearts, to be willing, first of all, to accept the very concept that such an energy exists and then to begin a journey, a journey that is often called spirituality, a journey home to discover it within you and without you.

Q: What qualities are best to develop if one wants to evolve and become more of the God / Goddess / All That Is that is within us?

Lazaris: We suggest there are any one of four (and optimally all four) of the following qualities: The first of these is love. We suggest that what would be important in becoming the maximum of who you are, and in having that connection with God / Goddess / All That Is, is that you really learn as best you can the skill and the ability of loving — that you learn the particulars and the specifics of what to do to be a loving person to yourself and then to others — and what to be to be a loving person to yourself and then to others.

It is very important, in the doingness of love, to really understand that there are specific things to do. It’s not just something that comes mystically, automatically, spontaneously. Giving is a very important part. Giving and responding, or being responsible. Respect is a tremendously important action / function to do. Knowing is the fourth. Then, in that sense, being humble enough to be intimate and courageous enough to be committed are the fifth and the sixth. And finally, the seventh is to care, to honestly care, to be living in a reality where more and more you’re working with that function of caring.

However, you do not just do those things for the sake of doing them. Rather, do those things for the very specifics of creating a certain state of awareness. Create, for example, security. Create also pleasure. Create a sense of vulnerability and truth. Create a sense of trust. Work so as to reduce the fear of loss, which is the grandest fear when love comes about. Open up to the intimacy and the caring so as to produce that state of feeling the intimacy and caring. And finally, create a state of knowing, where indeed you feel as though the person knows you and you know the other person.

Therefore, give not just for the sake of giving, but give to produce security, pleasure, etc. Respect a person not just for the sake of respecting, but so as to produce trust, intimacy and knowing. Sense that feeling of caring to produce vulnerability and reduce the fear of loss. Do these seven things — giving, responding, respecting, knowing, being intimate, being committed, and knowing — in order to produce these seven states: security, pleasure, vulnerability, trust, reduced fear of loss, caring and intimacy, and knowing.

The second major area to work with is the Valuing Self. Be aware and be alert to Self-Awareness. So often people look at this field in terms of “Self-awareness is the final achievement,” as if it were the highest level. No, we would suggest it is one of the first levels. To be aware of yourself, to be aware that you have impact is self-awareness. You are real. You are here. You are interacting in the world — illusion albeit — but from your point of view it’s real, and therefore work with self-awareness and with your self-worth, which is knowing that you have a spiritual nature and are appreciating that spiritual nature.

Work with your self-esteem. Self-esteem is the earned love, the love that you earn not through your “good works” and through the “approval of others,” but rather the esteem you earn through your honesty, through your integrity, through the responsibility and the trust that you develop.

Then, of course, self-love is part of the Valuing Self and in that sense that is the love that you are given. It’s not earned. You don’t earn love, in that way. You give it to yourself.

Then there is self-confidence, your capacity to cope, to deal with the reality that you have created.

Develop self-respect, which is honoring your emotions — honoring the fact that you are an emotional being, and honoring what those emotions are.

The synergistic culmination of these values is mystically called Self-Realization. The thumbnail explanation of Self-Realization is “impact that you direct.” In that sense, “Not only do I have impact, but I have the power and the dominion to direct that impact. I can have the impact I want, consciously.”

Beyond the Valuing Self, the third thing to deal with is Excellence. We suggest here that you learn to function with excellence, but not in the school sense of your childhood where you had to get straight A’s or you got in trouble. Rather, work with Excellence in the sense of working with a sense of a vision, the vision of the future, and with the impeccability of the present.

Work with elegance. We use that term not in the “fashion” sense, but in the scientific sense of expending the least amount of energy for the maximum amount of return. Develop that sense of elegance. Work with the joy of growing and with the courage of discernment. The courage, yes, to discern. People run from judgment. They don’t want to be judgmental, and therefore they also abandon discernment because, in that sense, it takes courage to discern.

Open to the wisdom and understanding and ultimately to that sense which we call the Excellence of what life is. Work with that. Function that way. Know that more and more of your life is a result of the desire, the clarity, the elegance and the excellence of who you are and who you can be.

Finally, the fourth way that individually or collectively you can work toward being more of God / Goddess / All That Is is to establish a relationship with your Higher Self — first of all by accepting that there is a higher “you.” There is a “you” that is beyond that which you know that is watching over you, a “you” that is a part of you, that is guiding you, if you will allow it to guide you. There is a Higher Consciousness that is within you that is not just out there beyond your reach and “someday hopefully . . .”

Indeed there are ways to make contact with your Higher Self, and indeed that’s a lot of what we teach . . . a lot of what we do with people when we talk to them individually is open them up to that sense of their Higher Self so they are able to know it, not just abstractly and theoretically, but to experience that sense of it.

Therefore, work with any one of those four — whichever one feels right. “Ah, I don’t know about Higher Self stuff, that seems . . .” OK, fine, then. Work with one of the others, or maybe two of the others — or if you’re really ambitious, maybe three. Once you’ve done that, you can perhaps add the fourth component. That’s how you bring yourself closer to God / Goddess / All That Is. Those are the qualities and the aspects that you’re looking for to make that evolutionary process of becoming more of who you are and who you can be. . . . Upon occasion your Higher Self will intercede. Your Higher Self will know, for example, that “if they get that it’s going to set them back in their growth.” At times God, through your Higher Self, will intercede, but it’s not as though God says you can’t have something. You can have it all. Your Higher Self and God, through your Higher Self, may be acting for your benefit — on your behalf — and intercede.

For example: “I want to program a lot of money so I can quit work.” Your Higher Self knows that will kill you, and therefore, in your interest, may well, for that very reason, interfere with your programming. If your motivations aren’t clear and aren’t harmonious and aren’t productive, then SOMETIMES — SOMETIMES — SOMETIMES your Higher Self will step in. NOT VERY OFTEN.

A lot of people say: “Oh, it’s God’s will, the purposeful good.” They are discounting the whole possibility of a negative ego.

Channeled Oration Transcript Excerpts Regarding ‘God’ From Lazaris Interviews Book II

Q: How do you define the nature of your existence?

Lazaris:
When you grow up, you come to this realization that God is not a man
with arms and legs and intestines and a stomach. God is a force. God
is an energy. God is love, as it tells you in your New Testament. God
is light. Therefore, God is a nonphysical being in that way. And
you’ll accept that you’re physical — we hope there’s not too much argument about that! But there’s an assumption that there’s nothing in between you and God.

We’re
not saying we’re physical, that’s true, and we’re not saying we’re God,
either. We are saying that there are realms of reality that exist
somewhere between where you are and where that ultimate force — that ultimate energy —
lies. Let us say that we lie in the “past-middle” region. We are a
light, an energy, a force, an intelligence that exists without body
form, without the encumbrance of physicality.

Therefore,
we like to see ourselves as a spark, a spark of love, a spark of light,
a spark of God. And you and we are both the same. We just know it
more clearly than you do.

Q: Tell us a little bit about your plane of reality. What’s it like where you are?

Lazaris: Well, certainly. It wouldn’t be so much “plane” as a singularity, but “planes” in the plural. Perhaps the easiest way to describe this is to explain that you have what we call “The Lower Worlds” — and lower in this case is simply a position, not an evaluation — that are made up of four planes of reality. One of these planes, of course, is the one you’re most aware of (maybe not as familiar with as you’d like, but most aware of), and that is the Physical Plane of Reality, which includes not only your Earth, but all the galactic systems, and any other life forms that are “out there” that are of a physical nature. They all belong to this plane of reality that is called the Physical Plane.

Beyond that (and we don’t say above it or below it, to left or right, but “beyond it” because all growth is exponential — in all directions simultaneously) is what is referred to most commonly as the Astral Plane of Reality. That is the frequency where everything is a conceptual replication of what is or could be physical.

Beyond that is what we call the Causal Plane of Reality. That’s the plane of all cause and effect. It is the plane of all possibility within which is your possibility, within which is the probability and ultimately the actuality of what you will manifest in your physicalness.

Beyond that is the Mental Plane of Reality which, in most religious senses, is heaven. That’s where most of the traditional gods and goddesses of religious past, present, and future reside. This is the bliss, the utopia, to which most refer. Biblically, there is a reference to the three heavens, and that there is a third heaven about which no words can be spoken, referring to the Astral and Causal Planes, and then to the third, the Mental Plane.

Those four worlds are the realities that you have created yourselves as human beings, perhaps not with as much conscious awareness as you’d like, but nonetheless you have created those worlds. Beyond those worlds there are many, many planes. They are numbered, perhaps, but they do not have names. On a certain number of these higher planes, that are quite a bit beyond those that you have created, are the planes of reality upon which we exist.

We do not have form. We do not have a body — never have. We do exist as a consciousness, a spark, as we perhaps describe it, a spark of light, a spark of love, a spark of energy, a spark of consciousness. Any of these terms is perhaps quite useful.

We do not think, but rather we create thought. We do not experience externally to ourselves, but we create experience.

We do not have days or nights or time. We exist simultaneously and continuously. Our “days,” to put it in your terms, are filled basically with creating thought, creating and expressing emotion, and generating realities for our own observation, and for our own experience.

We also spend a great deal of “time” — which in our reality we don’t have — doing exactly what we’re doing upon the Physical Plane: communicating, educating, informing, working to bring understanding and knowledge. About 1% of our energy is devoted to this work upon the Physical Plane. That is not meant to be an insult, just an explanation.

We also work in the same way with many consciousnesses who have long since moved beyond the Physical Plane. We are helping them understand, helping them grow, and giving them a perspective so that they might take back their own power, so that they might explore their own understanding more completely.

Thus our “time” is spent. When you take our experience and put it into linear language and thought, it can sometimes sound a little boring. “All you do is sit around and create thought and create experience and create emotion and feel it?” Yes, and we teach and work and expand and laugh and create joys and create wonderful mystical and marvelous realities to explore. And that’s, in a sense, what we do.

“What plane are we on?” we’ve been asked. “Give it a number. We’ll be there.”

Actually, numbers would be totally meaningless. Also, growth is not about “well, whose teacher is on what level?” One should measure a teaching by the quality of the work. One should measure by the value of the work. One should measure by the fruits of the labor, as it says in your Bible. . . .

Q: Lazaris, do you have an unconscious and a Higher Self? Please explain.

Lazaris: . . . We do indeed have a Higher Self. We do indeed have a subconscious, an unconscious and a conscious self. The difference is that in our reality we are aware of them. We refer to ourselves in the plural as “we” because of our multi-planes of awareness and because we know and are connected consciously to our subconscious mind. We are our own Higher Self. Yes, we are our own Higher Self.

Because we do not have time in our reality, we are aware of the beginning of reality, the middle, and the end of it simultaneously. It all happens “at once.” Therefore, we are at one with, and consciously aware of, our subconscious mind and our unconscious mind. We are our own Higher Self. Yes, we are our own Higher Self.

We access these “selves” fully consciously as we communicate with you and with the multitude of consciousnesses with whom we interact. So yes, we have those components . . .

We are constantly in a state of growth and in a state of expanding our awareness of ourselves and of our realities. That growth and expansion is happening, however, simultaneously, which is very difficult to say and more difficult to understand because you have a linear language.

When you say, “It happened, and is happening, and will happen, and it’s all mooshed together as one,” it’s difficult to understand. Nonetheless, it is happening that way. We are constantly involved in the reach and stretch of growth.

Yes, there is more. There is always more . . .

Q: What prompted you to experience the Earth plane in this manner?

Lazaris: . . . We are here to remind you of, or to help you remember, your “future.” Your world seems very frightening now. It seems so devastating out there. More than ever it feels like wherever you turn, to whomever you talk, you are receiving the message that the world is becoming more miserable and terrible — that it is hopeless. With broken hope and breached confidence, you concluded: “I must have done something horribly wrong.”

We are here to remind you that you are loved. You are loved. There is a God, whom we refer to as God / Goddess / All That Is, who does love you, who does care about you, who is concerned with you and your particular growth . . . and to show you the ways you can communicate with God / Goddess / All That Is, the ways you can be touched such as to have your life so changed and so benefitted by that love that you can say, “I know I’m loved because my life reflects it.” . . .

Some would say that the original God of your Old Testament was one pretty nasty sort of guy. According to that Testament, many were killed in the name of God. According to history many more were killed in His name.

Who really did that? Was it really God? Or was it . . . “Hey, I spoke to God last night, and God told me to kill you.” ‘If I don’t want to be responsible, I’ll blame the big man upstairs,’ yes?

Nonetheless, the doctrines that have been put forth rather depict this very arbitrary, very grudge-holding sort of energy. Remember now that this is the God who said that because one woman ate one apple, all women for all time must suffer. Now there’s not a human being on the planet that carries a grudge that long. This is also the God that said that you must suffer the sins of the father for three or four generations. Now how long is that, if 30 years is a generation? And four generations is 120 years. There’s your father — that’s one — your grandfather — two — great grandfather is three . . . However many it is, if they sinned, you’ve got to pay for it. Now that’s holding a grudge a bit long.

But, you see, that’s what the people wanted. They wanted a god that would do their bidding. It wasn’t God / Goddess / All That Is; it was the people who claimed to speak for God.

Then people changed, and they shifted, and along came an opening up to the possibility of creating the future and changing all that. And how did that change?

Well, God sent his only begotten Son to give the New Testament, the new law. According to the New Testament, Jesus came for your sins, but he also brought the new law.

The New Testament says the new law replaces the Ten Commandments. That was the thing: Replacing those Ten Commandments here’s one new law. Simple. Love God above all others, and love others as you would love yourself. And all of a sudden God became much more compassionate.

Well then, as you move forward, the faces — the images — of God keep changing. Many of you remember, in the Sixties there was the “God is dead” activity, when people became rather cynical, scared, and angry that the world was not turning out to be this “heaven” that they had been promised by their technocrats. When the promise was broken, the promise that you could have anything and everything you wanted, people said, “God is dead.” Others said, “There never was one in the first place.”

Well, you are, as we say, a spiritual nation. You want to have a God. Some people now want to turn computers into their gods. Others want to turn extraterrestrials, with their tremendous technological knowledge, into their god. There are those people who create the hysteria of seeing UFOs, which are purely manifestations, subjective manifestations, of an archetypal energy that resides within them. In this case, which is frequent — too frequent — UFOs are subjective archetypal “faces of God” created in a high-tech image of a high-tech society.

Quite honestly, this category of UFO does more of the “abducting” than any other. Those people who have a belief and a fear that there are extraterrestrials who are going to abduct them, who are going to run tubes up various parts of their bodies and who are going to have sex with them in some sort of weird way are more likely to attract a conscious manifestation of a subconscious subjective archetype. Such subjective archetypal manifestations can take on the projection of a “god” who is arbitrary or cruel, one who might look on a human being as just some animal to be tested — an object to be used.

You see, you have no real concept of how incredibly powerful your brain is. You know, they tell you that you use 10% of your brain. That’s really incorrect. You use 100% of your brain. You only understand 10%. The other 90% is still functioning, and the other 90% can spin out a reality — and sometimes a very negative reality — that you experience as being real, as physically real, as any other.

Your brain is not the passive receiver it was once thought to be. It is not the passive receiver that many want to pretend it still is. Your brain is an active searcher involved in what we call “future-think.” Even though you may not totally understand how it functions, that other 90% of your brain can create and manifest reality. And even though you may not totally understand it, it is still a conscious choice because you are allowing it, consciously allowing it. You just don’t always understand how. Not yet, at least.

Now you know, for example, that with hypnosis you can tell a person, when you touch them with a pencil that it is a burning cigarette. You can touch their arm, and that place will welt, blister, and burn, as though you really did it with a cigarette. You know that. That’s been demonstrated sufficiently and adequately. You can hypnotize someone to tell them that they are in severe danger, or that they are in total safety, and they will respond completely and totally.

No one fully knows what they are seeing. No one fully knows what they’re experiencing. Even when they recall, it’s sometimes impossible to know. Therefore, we suggest your brain is capable of doing this kind of activity to the body. . . .

As you move from that which is called the Old Age into that which is called the New Age — as you move from which is more accurately referred to as the Old Spirituality into that which is more correctly the New Spirituality — there will be a breakdown of the consensus reality. When a world that has been seen as being totally objective is proved to be subjective — when a world which hitherto has been called subjective all of a sudden becomes very objective — then the world will indeed seem very topsy-turvy. The consensus indeed will seem to have come to an end. . . .
