“The documentary that I would be interested in seeing about Melania would be how she became a United States citizen with the Einstein visa.”
“Well, maybe it’s the Epstein visa. They spelled it wrong. It’s not Einstein, it’s Epstein. Cause that actually tracks as to how she got over here.” —Chelsea Handler

Handler told Kara Swisher on the Pivot podcast that she made it about 10 or 15 minutes into Melania Trump’s new documentary before tapping out. Asked what she’d rather watch, she said: “The documentary that I would be interested in seeing about Melania would be how she became a United States citizen with the Einstein visa.”

Melania entered the US on an EB-1 green card, approved in 2001, a category reserved for people with “extraordinary ability” and long nicknamed the “Einstein visa.” She was naturalized in 2006. Handler’s joke swaps one letter and one namesake, turning the immigration category into an insinuation about how Melania “got over here.”
There’s no evidence Jeffrey Epstein had anything to do with Melania’s visa or citizenship, and Melania has denied any meaningful ties to him. The line is a comedy jab, not a claim.
