El-Sayed: “I just think the government shouldn’t tell you what kind of health care you should have.”
Watters: “So you think it’s okay for a parent to slash his kid’s ding-a-ling off? You think that’s okay?”
El-Sayed: “You really want to have this conversation? Are you circumcised?”
Watters: “Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, that’s a personal question.”
El-Sayed: “You probably should want to move on. You probably should want to move on.”
El-Sayed’s point was that a common medical decision already gets made for kids by parents and doctors, not the government. He’d been arguing that health care choices belong to a doctor, a patient, and their parents when Watters pushed him on care for minors.
So he asked Watters directly if he was circumcised. Watters said yes and called it a personal question. El-Sayed then told him twice, “you probably should want to move on.”
