A court-ordered alcohol treatment class was supposed to help Shia LaBeouf. Instead, the actor told the court he’s still drinking every day, months after one insider warned it will end in tragedy.
LaBeouf self-reported that he “drinks alcohol daily” and also refused mental health treatment, per court documents obtained by TMZ on Thursday.
The admission came months after his drunken Mardi Gras arrest in February. In June, he pleaded guilty to three counts of misdemeanor battery, drawing two years’ probation and an order to attend an alcohol treatment class.

The trouble in New Orleans wasn’t an isolated slip. LaBeouf has struggled with alcohol for years, a battle that has played out repeatedly in public and in the courts. In 2017, he was arrested in Savannah, Georgia, on charges of public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and obstruction. Years earlier, he was removed from a Broadway performance of “Cabaret” after a disruptive, intoxicated outburst. He has spoken openly in the past about seeking treatment and confronting his drinking, making the latest admission all the more discouraging to those around him.

The fallout has reached his family. LaBeouf and actress Mia Goth share a young child together, but sources say Goth left him in the wake of his drunken antics in New Orleans. The reported split adds another layer of consequence to a pattern of behavior that friends and insiders have long feared was spiraling.

“Eventually this is all going to be a tragic ending,” one insider said.
