These Channeled Explanations About ‘God’ Offer Key Self-Help — Guy Ballard (1878-1939) and His Wife Edna (1886-1971)

When Mr. Ballard had received the experiences as recorded in Unveiled Mysteries and The Magic Presence, Volumes I and II of The Saint Germain Series, he returned to their home in Chicago where he and Mrs. Ballard began to instruct a small group of Students in the Laws of Life which they had received:

One morning Mr. and Mrs. Ballard and their son, Donald, were standing near the door to their dining room when they felt a tremendous Vibratory Action charge into the room.  Looking up, they saw a Ray of Light descend onto the dining room table.  From within this Ray they heard the Voice of the Beloved Ascended Master Saint Germain saying: “We would like to dictate a series of Discourses, should you care to cooperate.  Take time to think it over and let Me know.”  Mrs. Ballard answered immediately, “We are ready to begin now!”  “Very well,” Saint Germain replied, “We will begin next week.” 

Twice a week for over seven months these mighty Discourses came forth, followed by The “I AM” Discourses as published in Volume III of The Saint Germain Series.  Mr. Ballard has said concerning this great Instruction, “It is the most wonderful thing that ever came into a human being’s life!”

The thirty-three Discourses contained in this book were dictated over a Visible Light and Sound Ray in our home during 1932 by the Ascended Master, Saint Germain and those other Ascended Masters directly concerned with This Activity.  The sound of His Voice was physically audible to everyone in the room.  At times His Visible, Tangible Presence also stood within the room, when He radiated the Power and Energy of the Light Rays to accomplish special work.

The human element, or outer sphere of mankind, is the only element in Creation that deliberately creates inharmony and consciously misuses the energy of the God sustaining it.  This is the only sphere in the universe where those who function within it have taken command and declared themselves independent of God.  I mean by this, those who are refusing to acknowledge the active Presence of God in their lives.

No principle or activity can be blamed for the misuse mankind makes of it.  All through the ages, humanity has tried to place upon God the responsibility for its destructive activities.  Hence the ruse of manufacturing Gods who could be either angry or joyous according to mankind’s whim.

I assure you from My own observation, that those Great Ones—far greater than I—through aeons of investigation, have indisputable proof that there is but one God — the Life, Wisdom, and Energy of all Creation.  Therefore, the Energy of God cannot be blamed for the inharmony created when someone misuses It.  Neither can the principle of banking be blamed because of dishonest bankers.  Neither can the activity or principle of giving out information by the press be blamed because of malicious reporters or dishonest editors.


Too long has mankind usurped and misused the Energy of good, which is God.  The Inner Quickening, by the Cosmic Radiation through the Mighty Arisen Messengers of God into the Heart of each individual, is rapidly drawing the human desire into the Divine.
 
 
I want so much to have each one of the Students keep before them the fact that they alone are the governor of their Life and its activity, and are commanded to choose what they wish to manifest in their Life — always remembering that they are not to stop and worry about this or that individualization.  They are to fix their vision, which is God’s Inner Activity, on the Goal and hold it there with a firm, joyous determination to reach it.

 
Knowing that the outer mind or consciousness is a mighty vehicle through which the tremendous Energy of God can be consciously directed, then we know that we have every moment, all about us, the most powerful Presence for Protection and Direction, and the Supreme Solver and Adjuster of every condition that opportunity brings before us.
 
 
All seeming shadows or problems are but a part of God demanding an opportunity for the recognition of that Great and Mighty “Presence,” the Invincible Solver of all problems.  All problems are but to compel a recognition of God as the Supreme Controller and Activity in all things.

This Mighty “Presence” is the certain assurance, anchored in the Heart of every individual on the Pathway of Light, that he may definitely and absolutely Ascend.  Therefore, you will see that the outer experience, which would otherwise seem disconcerting or disturbing, is but the Demand of the Great Self to the outer to turn about and face the Eternal Sunrise of God’s Glorious Radiance enfolding every one of His Children and all His Creation.

 
In presenting this Mighty Sustaining Truth from various angles, it is done with the certain consciousness that one angle or another will meet the requirements of the Students in various grades, enabling each one to grasp his Principle of Life, the “Mighty I AM Presence” — the God within — with certain, definite assurance.    

 
Every student should understand that every condition he meets in the outer returns back to him the qualities he gives it — hence the necessity of seeing, knowing, and feeling only God in Action in every situation.   

 
The great God Principle is above and unfolding the form because of the Anchorage of God within the Heart.  The Seven Centers are the points of Anchorage of the Individualization of God in the physical form.

Keep the attention on the fact that Love is the Controlling Power in all conditions, always knowing it is Divine Love.

 
Within the Divine Record of every individual there is registered all constructive experience.  Therefore when a necessity requires it and the Wisdom is there to be used, naturally that is the first place to draw from.  For instance, if you had a book giving certain formulas of activity, you would not go to another individual who had the same kind of book, but you would look into your own book and save the time and energy.  If mankind had not forgotten the Wisdom and Force stored within their consciousness, they would much more readily call upon that which is already at hand.

 
The word “Satan” came forth as a single explanation, telling humanity that they had better turn away from their own creations of inharmony, and this turning would enable them to find God ever active in their midst . . . If they do not direct it consciously for some good, constructive purpose, it will act in some manner — often through the suggestion of the environment or individuals, because energy is always subject to suggestion.  The great mass of mankind who have joined themselves to the orthodox idea, as we term it, have thought to cast upon God, a Being in the skies, their problems or creations.  Yet they are foolish enough to think they can go on creating inharmony and not experience its discordant effects.

Thus we see how mankind has held over its own head this cloud of ignorance through the centuries.  Human beings might have recognized their freedom as Children of God and become conscious of the fact that they had Free Will.  They would then have realized that they were the only creators of good and evil, so-called.  They would have learned that they had the power to dissipate any wrong or inharmonious creation that they had ignorantly or willfully brought forth.

One of the reasons why the idea of a devil was conceived, was that in every period or cycle of human embodiment, there have been those individuals who were very dynamic in the use of this energy; they were misdirecting it and producing this so-called evil.  Besides this, they were creating such powerfully charged thought-forms that vicious, ignorant, disembodied intelligences seized upon them or, as it were, entered into these thought-forms.  These forms were being energized by their creators who were still embodied, giving these vicious, ignorant entities tremendous power and activity.  Before the time of Jesus, these entities were often able to appear visibly, often in very grotesque forms.  Thus, this was the idea of a devil, which I assure you never was and never will exist outside of man’s own discordant creation.  [Blogger’s Note: This explanation is in accord with the ‘new paranormal initiation’ to the current ongoing ‘The Devil’ phase of Earth life.  (example article)].

 
On the Higher or Spiritual Planes of Activity, all Creation takes place by thought.  The thought draws to itself the Universal Substance, producing any desired form according to the quality of the desire or thought.  The Ascended Hot, in projecting into form the Invisible Substance, do qualify it with whatever Quality They wish to use. 

 
Kindness is always the conquering power, both with human beings and animals as well.  Out of the fullness of patience and the application of the Presence of Divine Love in all affairs, comes the sure and certain reward.  There is no activity where the consciousness or attention is held on the “Mighty I AM Presence,” wherein the element of Divine Love is not active; but this natural Activity may be greatly intensified by adding your consciousness of the Quality of Divine Love to it.  This is a subtle point which very few, not Ascended, realize.

Some will say, “How is it we mortals may intensify the Activity of God?”  I answer: God, the “Mighty I AM Presence,” acts through the Free Will of the individual according to his or her acceptance; and the individual, being a part of God, being the same in Quality, has the right and power to increase and intensify any one of the natural Activities of God, upon which the consciousness is focused.  If sincere Students will meditate on this particular activity, they are certain to receive much benefit.

The most vital thing in human activity is the necessity of positively refusing to sit in judgment on the activity of another human being.  To condemn, criticize, or feel curiosity about the affairs of another, except to wish them Godspeed and that all is well, is not permissible for the real Student or the one who sincerely wishes to reach the highest attainment.
 
 
Instead of recognizing God as the only Cause, the mass of mankind generate, through the outer manifestation, misconceptions and causes that are certain to bring them distress.
 
 
Now right here, it is a good thing to understand that the negative and positive forces exist everywhere in Creation; and the negative is in nowise to be condemned, for it is the means by which the Children of Light are caused to become more and more aware of their own Conquering Positive Force.  To give way to the negative force is to become more and more enmeshed in it, but to instantly recognize the presence of any negative thought or feeling is but to cause one to turn to one’s positive pole and rest there serenely.

In the Ascended State all decorative ornamentation is created within the substance itself.  For instance, in the building of walls: whatever you determine upon manifests as the finished product; for in the Higher Spheres of Activity, the Eternal Electronic Substance responds as readily to your thought as bread dough does to the activity of your hands on the physical plane.  This Eternal Electronic Substance may be molded by thought into the most beautiful forms.

 
My personal opinion is that a cataclysm, which is inevitable, is preferable to the coming forth into physical action of the so-called Armageddon; for a cataclysm does not release hate, and because of this, it would be much better for humanity.  A certain amount of cataclysmic action is inevitable, and it is not desirable that it should be avoided; for it releases certain things and seals certain things — greatly to the benefit and progress of humanity.

It is possible under secured Dispensations, for the channel of the cataclysm to be changed or governed.  If mankind could understand that God forever and forever acts through His Messengers who are attuned to step down His Mighty Current of Force and Activity, then they would know that all cataclysmic or Cosmic conditions may be to some degree, more or less regulated and directed.

 
It is vitally important for Students to recognize the difference between intellectuality and intelligence.  They must understand that the great intellectual development which some acquire and are often so proud of, is but what they have gathered or accumulated from without, and it does not have a firm foundation.  However, the opposite of this is God’s Mighty Intelligence, which they receive from within.  It is the Fountain of Eternal Truth and has at all times an unshakable Foundation.  The brain or intellect is but the vehicle that this Mighty Inner Intelligence uses.  It may be taught through conscious action to express only this Inner Intelligence.  As individuals of Free Will, We choose which shall act for us — the gatherings of the outer intellect or the Mighty Intelligence in Its full Capacity.

 
Every experience that comes to the individual serves a double purpose: first, to turn the attention to the only Creative Source, God; second, to make the individual aware that resting in that Supreme Consciousness is the solution, instantly at hand, of whatever needs to be known.

 
If individuals could only recognize that God’s Love is the natural motive power of their being, they would see at once how their attempt to use energy not qualified by this Mighty Power of Divine Love, must necessarily bring them just the opposite results from those which they wish.  Therefore, let all sincerely open the Doorway into all expression — into all activity; and we will find our world transformed and moving within an Armor of Protection where only Light, Peace, and Harmony reign.

 
Within the consciousness of each one is that Eternal Vigilance on guard which warns the outer to refrain from anything that would create destructive activity, if the individual will only listen to its prompting.  For any Student to yield and lower himself to vicious gossip is a violent retarding process to his or her growth.  It matters not what may seem to be the appearance, no one shall sit in judgment upon another.  They who yield to such childishness open their doors wide to forces more destructive than the boa constrictor of the jungle, or the tiger that would tear them to pieces.  That would but destroy the outer form, while gossip, criticism, and condemnation build within the mental bodies that destructive element which takes them many embodiments to rid themselves of. 

 
The Students who have entered upon the Conscious Path and wish to proceed and be blest by that Wondrous and Mighty Light anchored in the Heart of each one, should tum from criticism and judgment as they would from a poisonous serpent that would strike the poison of death into their flesh.  The Students should understand that in allowing themselves to fall into this most undesirable habit, they but injure themselves.  They cannot harm another who is filled with love toward everyone and all things, because the Consciousness of the Activity of Divine Love in the individual’s Life builds a Mighty Armor of Protection that naught of the outer can penetrate — for God is Love and always protects His own.

 
The God Self in you is the same God that is at the Heart, at the Helm of the Universe. The pity is that Students think or feel this too stupendous a Truth to be realized in their individual lives; but I assure you that according to the intensity with which they recognize this Truth, anyone with unwavering determination may see the Radiant Face of that Mighty “God Presence.”  These statements are neither myth nor imagination, but tremendous Truths that the Students can grasp, comprehend, and utilize with Everlasting Blessings in their outer experience.

 
Mankind through the centuries has made the great mistake of focusing the attention upon the human accumulation instead of the Principle of Life within the individual-the “Mighty I AM Presence,” which each one really is.  Even from outer observation, all who stop to think seriously must know that this Principle of Life, which we see everywhere manifest, is Eternal and is the Activity of God — the Creator of all things visible and invisible.  Therefore, that Principle of Life within us is One in Quality and Power with the Creator of the Universe.  Again, may I remind you that you have for your conscious use all the Qualities, Power, and Activity of the “Mighty I AM Presence” — the Godhead.

 
One of the great Privileges and Provinces of the Ascended Host is to aid those who discover Their Presence, and the great masses of humanity who do not.  But those who do not have the certain Knowledge of Their Presence, can only receive a fractional part of that which comes to those who do have certain Conscious Knowledge of Their Existence and Assistance to the Earth.  (previous article presenting further excerpts from this book)
  

Excerpts From The “I AM” Discourses

 
Life, in all Its Activities everywhere manifest, is God in Action, and it is only through lack of the understanding of applied thought and feeling, that mankind is constantly interrupting the pure flow of that Perfect Essence of Life which would, without interference, naturally express Its Perfection everywhere.

The natural tendency of Life is Love, peace, beauty, harmony, and opulence, for Life cares not who uses It, but is constantly surging to pour more of Its Perfection into manifestation, always with that lifting process, which is ever inherent within Itself.

 
When Jesus said: “‘I AM,’ the Resurrection and the Life,” He gave forth one of the mightiest Utterances that well be expressed.

When He said “I AM,” He did not refer to the outer expression, but He did refer to The Mighty Master Presence — God Within, because He repeatedly said: “I of my self can do nothing.  It is the Father within—the ‘I AM’—that doeth the works.”

Again Jesus said: “‘I AM’ the Way, the Life, and the Truth,” giving recognition to the One and Only Power — God in Action within him.

Again He said: “‘I AM’ the ‘Light’ that lighteth every man that cometh into the world,” prefacing every statement of vital importance with the Words — “I AM.”

Contemplating “I AM” as anything and everything you wish to be is one of the mightiest means of loosing the Inner God Power, Love, Wisdom and Truth, and setting It into action in the outer experience.

Again let us refer to His Mighty Utterance, perhaps one of the greatest ever spoken into the outer expression: “‘I AM’ the Open Door which no man can shut.”  Do you not see how very vital this is when you come to review understandingly, these Mighty Statements?

When you recognize and accept fully, “I AM,” as the Mighty Presence of God in you — in action, you will have taken one of the greatest steps to liberation.

Now mark you, in the utterance of the Truth that, “‘I AM’ the Open Door which no man can shut,” if you can but realize it, you have the key that allows you to step through the veil of flesh, carrying with you all consciousness that you have generated or accumulated which is imperfect; and there transmute it, or in other words, raise it into that Perfection into which you have stepped.

Too much stress cannot be laid upon the importance of contemplating as often as possible the “I AM” as the Mighty, Active Presence of God in you, in your home, in your world, in your affairs.  Every breath you breathe is God in Action in you.  Your ability to express or send forth thought and feeling is God acting in you.  You, having free will, it is entirely up to you to qualify the energy sent forth in your thought and feeling, and determine how it shall act for you. 

No one can say: “How shall I know how to qualify this energy?” for everyone knows the difference between destructive and constructive thought, feeling, and action. 

The student, in receiving instruction, should constantly analyze the motive back of the question to detect if in that motive there is a feeling of intellectual pride, arrogance or stubbornness in the outer mind and body.  If there is within the motive a lurking desire to argue and prove the instruction wrong rather than receive the Blessing and Truth intended, the individual has unknowingly shut the door, for the time being, to his ability to receive the good offered. 

 
If the Children of God would learn to give for the joy of giving, whether it be love, money, service, or whatever it may be, they would open the door to such vast opulence that it would be impossible to want for a single thing in the outer expression.

The unfortunate thing in humanity—which has caused such rampant selfishness and unprecedented condemnation of each other—is the idea of claiming ownership to these wonderful Blessings of God; for there is but One Love acting, One Intelligence, Power and Substance, and that is God in every individual.  The Warning that should be placed before every student and individual is to guard against the desire of the outer self to claim power of its own.  If in every act of the personality, God were given full credit, transformations unbelievable could not help taking place in the one thus giving full credit and power where it belongs. 

 
Always know that when you decree a constructive thing, it is God in you propelling you to do it.

 
When the student can once understand, that the Ascended Host of Masters are but the more advanced Consciousness of himself, then he will begin to feel the unquestionable possibilities within his grasp.  Whether he speaks to the Godhead direct, to one of the Ascended Masters of Light or to his own God Self, in reality it makes no difference, for all are One.

  
When you have touched and seen within this Inner Circle,*  (*This term correlates with the Mark Probert channeling case chronology) you will then understand how imperfect is the present expression of Divine Love.  Once one becomes consciously aware of these Great Spheres to which he may reach, he will find himself fearlessly reaching deeper and deeper within the Radiance of this Mighty Intelligent Hub of the Universe — from which all worlds, all creation have proceeded. 
 
 
The “I AM” is the Fathomless Mind of God . . . Individuals and students many times do not and will not realize, that there have been many civilizations of vast attainments, which are entirely unknown to the outer world today.  Atlantis and Lemuria, or the Land of Mu,* as credited by a few today are but fragments of the great civilizations that have been.  (*Channeling case chronologies offering instruction about ancient civilizations include JZ Knight/’Ramtha’, Phyllis V. Love is the “Active Principle of God.”  When you are loving, you are enfolding what you are loving in that “Robe of God,” that Radiant Presence and Activity.

 
Never condemn.  Try always to understand . . .
 
 
The simple key to Perfect Happiness and its inherent sustaining power is Self-control and Self-correction.  This is so easy to accomplish when one has learned he is the “I AM Presence” and Intelligence, controlling and commanding all things.

Surrounding each individual is a thought-world created by him or her.  Within this thought-world is the seed, the Divine Presence, the “l AM,” which is the only acting Presence there is in the Universe, and which directs all energy.  This energy can be intensified beyond any limit through the conscious activity of the individual.

The “Divine Presence” within is likened unto the pit or seed of a peach, the thought world around It unto the pulp of the peach.  The pulp represents, not only the thought world created by the individual, but also the Universal Electronic Substance, ever present waiting to be acted upon by the conscious determination of the individual; to be precipitated into his visible use, as the form of whatsoever he may desire.

The sure pathway to the understanding and use of this conscious power comes through Self-control.  What do I mean by Self-control?  First, the recognitions of the “I AM Intelligence” as the only Acting Presence.  Second, That knowing this, We know there is no limit to the power of Its use.  Third, that individuals, having been given free will and choice, do create in the world about them, whatsoever their thought, through their attention, is held firmly upon.

The time has arrived when all must understand that thought and feeling are the only and Mightiest Creative Power in life or in the Universe.  Thus the only way to the definite use of the full power of one’s thought and feeling, which is God in Action, is through Self-control—Self-correction—by which one may quickly reach the attainment; the understanding, whereby he may direct and use this Creative Thought-power without any limit whatsoever.

 
Each individual, knowing that he is the Creator of his own world and what he wishes to have manifest in it, will understand that he has at no time any right to create anything discordant in another’s world.  Thus, is each individual left free to meet the effect of his creative cause.
  
 
Those, who have reached the great disillusionment, that wealth or the outer effect of things cannot bring happiness, will understand with great blessing. that within their own Creative thought, power, and feeling, are held Perfect Happiness, Perfect Freedom and Perfect Dominion.

Meditation really means—feeling—the Active Presence of God.

 
. . . the unpleasant experiences, losses, or any imperfection that has passed over your wheel of experience to the present time, should never be held close to you.  They have gone over the wheel — forgive and forget them.  To give and forgive is Godlike indeed
 

For an individual to hold an attitude of revenge for any seeming wrong, imaginary or otherwise, can only bring upon himself incapacity of mind and body.  The old, yet wondrous statement brought down to us through the ages: “Unless you are willing to forgive, how can you be forgiven,” is one of the Mightiest Laws for use in human experience . . . The greatest thing that all mankind are seeking — in reality, is Peace and Freedom, which is always the doorway to happiness.  There is only one possible way to receive this, which is to know God — the “I AM Presence,” and that This Presence is the only acting Intelligence in your Life and world at all times.  Then stand by this, and live it. 

 
It is not your province to judge another, for you do not know the forces playing upon another nor the conditions.  You know only the angle that you see of it . . . the one who holds vicious thoughts to another is in reality but destroying himself, his business, and his affairs.  There is no possible way of averting it, except for the individual to awaken and consciously reverse the currents.
 

Let us go one step further.  Throughout all ages, there have been business associations, in which there were one or possibly two with the deliberate intent to do wrong; and through this association, a number of individuals absolutely innocent of any wrong intent, have been imprisoned.  I now tell you, as an Unfailing Law that cannot be changed, that the individual or individuals who cause innocent persons to be incarcerated—thus depriving them of their Freedom of action as God intended—will bring that exact experience which they have desired for another into their own experience — even unto the third and fourth embodiment following.

 
Once the student becomes readily aware that “God is Love” and Love’s True Activity comes through the heart, he will understand that to focus his attention on the desire to project Love forth, for any given purpose, is the supreme privilege of the outer activity of the consciousness, which can generate Love to a boundless degree.

 
True Love never requires sex contact of any kind.

 
The Law of Forgiveness is the Wide-open Door to reach the Heart of God.  It is the Keynote and Hub on which the Universe turns.   

 
It is very easy at times for the student to think that his acts or thoughts are under cover and not known; but to the Ascended Host, there is no act or thought that can be hidden from them; because everything you think or feel is registered in the etheric world about you, as plain as the nose on your face.   

 
God’s Will is the Opulence of Good Will — the birthright of every one of God’s children . . . God is the Principle of all Life and each child of God is an individualized conscious active part of that One Great Principle of Life, and Love, and Power.

God has given into the keeping of every one of His Children, This Marvelous Consciousness which is Omnipresent, eternally elastic—as it were—which can be drawn into a focal point to write with the Pen of Light or expand to encompass the Earth.
 
Consciousness is always subject to direction through the use of free will. 

The most unfortunate understanding established by the orthodox idea, that God acts of His own Free Will in the life of the individual or a nation, is positively not true.

 
There is but one way by which you and the Father may become eternally one; and that is through the full acceptance of His “I AM Presence,” Energy, Love, Wisdom and Power which He has given you — golden links, golden steps, by which you climb serenely upward into your final achievement.

Sometime, somewhere, every individualization of God, the Father, must find his way back to the Father through his “I AM Presence,” fulfilling his cycle or cycles of individualizations in the use of the activity of the outer self.  The earth is the only sphere in which there is the density of the atomic structure that you experience.  The conscious recognition and use of the “I AM Presence,” which you are, steadily raises the vibratory action of your atomic structure, unclothing and liberating the Electronic Activity which is hidden within the atom, enabling you to become Self-luminous Beings. 

 
Remember, the “I AM Presence” knows all things for all eternity, in all ways past, present and future without limit.

 
Men and women, who have lost the controlling power over their passion which may be either sex or anger, have knowingly or unknowingly become entangled in the psychic stratum of thought and feeling, thereby opening the doors of their beautiful and wonderful Temples of God.  Through the open door, the forces within the psychic stratum fasten upon them, intensifying their own passion into an uncontrolled condition, which otherwise might be controlled.  Far better had such individuals walked into a den of rattlesnakes, for then they would have but thrown off the physical bodies and been free; but once enmeshed in this psychic sphere, they are often bound for many embodiments.  Why is this?  Because they make records within their mental worlds from which they do not know how to extricate themselves.  Consequently these souls are reborn again with those same tendencies . . .

 
It is very difficult for the average individual to understand that the quickest way to stop any kind of disturbance is to stop discussing it.

 
Our Beloved Brother Jesus, performed one of the greatest blessings to mankind, in not only setting the example from his birth and achieving the Ascension; but in making the Eternal Record that stands radiant, pouring Itself to humanity.

 
Jesus said: “Know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.”  This is one of the mightiest phases of that Truth.  Apply It, O Beloved Ones! with full determination, shutting out all uncertainty from your minds, and you will climb steadily that Jeweled Ladder of achievement; and as you look back upon each step gained, more and more will that Blazing Radiance shine forth, and you will wonder, “How could I have gone so long in the shadow, when above me stood this Mighty Flame of Life, ready to consume instantly all my unfortunate, ignorant creation?” . . . Such, we know you can do, because We have.
