Initially, however, the 5 of Cups signals profound emotional loss. But the 5 also indicates change, so the loss can be interpreted as a catalyst for something new to occur. Temperance indicates a rebalancing that can open up a new day or new opportunities, while The Fool stands ready to take the leap into a new reality to manifest its undeveloped potential.
